Academic curriculum structure

Organisation

Undergraduate Degrees are made up of 240 ECTS Credits. These Credits are taken over a period of four years and are divided into 60 ECTS per academic year.

Degree Structure

60 ECTS of Basic Training.

84 ECTS of Obligatory Training.

48 ECTS of Optional Training.

36 ECTS of External Work Experience Placements (Prácticum).

12 ECTS of Final Dissertation.

The 48 ECTS credits of optional subjects take place during fourth year and students may choose 30 ECTS credits from a specific group of subjects in order to obtain one of the following specialisations:

  • Personal Independence and Dependence Care (Atenció a l’Autonomia Personal i la Dependència).
  • Advanced Intervention in Occupational Therapy (Intervenció Avançada en Teràpia Ocupacional).

Training is divided up into different subjects which in turn make up the whole study plan.

Methodology

In order to achieve the all of the different degree skills required, various teaching and learning methods are used, such as: Lectures, seminars, roleplays both in and outside the classroom, theoretical and practical workshops or guided visits. Teaching takes place in either large or smaller groups to make usage of these methods.
